Kansas woman wins $2.4 million HGTV package at home in Vermont

Vermont Business Magazine HGTV has announced the winner of the HGTV Dream Home 2022: Karey Wolstenholm of Overland Park, Kansas. The prize package is valued at over $2.4 million and includes the brand new approximately 3,090 square foot three bedroom, three and a half bathroom home and all furnishings. The prize package also includes a brand new 2022 Grand Wagoneer and $250,000 from Rocket Mortgage. The Warren, Vermont home was designed by Dylan Eastman and built by contractor Big Country Built with interior design by Brian Patrick Flynn.

Wolstenholm was randomly drawn from over 142 million entries for the sweepstakes, which ran from December 28, 2021 to February 17, 2022 and generated the highest number of entries in HGTV Dream Home history. She entered the sweepstakes twice a day every day, as she has done with other HGTV home giveaways in the past, including HGTV Smart Home and HGTV Urban Oasis. Wolstenholm is a big outdoor enthusiast and loved the land the house sits on and all the outdoor amenities. She was also blown away by the overall design and views the house as “a total package”.

Wolstenholm owns a printing and promotional products company with her husband Rick. They live together in their hometown of Overland Park, where they have lived with their children and dog for the past nine years. Wolstenholm is a big fan of HGTV and almost always wears it at home. Her favorite shows include Hometown, Fixer Upper, Fixer to Fabulous, and Love It or List It, among others, and she loves seeing the before and after of all homes. She loves everything to do with home design and fashion, and her friends and family often ask her for advice.

HGTV Dream Home 2022 is located in Warren, VT, an idyllic mountain town in the heart of the Mad River Valley, known for its breathtaking views and seasonal outdoor activities with beautiful mountains, lush forests and thousands of miles of hiking.
