If you’re looking for DIY or gardening and landscaping ideas and solutions, the Erie Home & Garden Expo will likely have something for you.
The expo, which includes booths featuring local contractors, contractors and landscapers, returns to its 24th year at the Bayfront Convention Center this coming weekend, March 25-27.
Mark E. Concilla, President of Erie Promotions & Expos, Inc. said more than 120 vendors will be offering products and services at this year’s expo. The exhibitions, booked primarily from local suppliers, include windows and doors, terraces and pavilions, furniture, roofing, landscaping and more.
Earlier this monthThe Erie RV & Sport Show Expo offered a little bit of everything outdoors
“This year we’re introducing the Backyard Bungalow, a solution for those who are short on space and need to add living space to their homes,” Concilla said in an email. “A backyard building is on display showing a home office, exercise area, and children’s playhouse.”
The backyard building was custom built by Lee’s Storage Sheds of Centerville and the space will be landscaped by Afton Landscape Supply and Johnston’s Nursery, both of Erie.
There will also be giveaways, and Concilla said the Penn State Master Gardeners will build a nursery as an educational space for children to learn about the environment and gardening.

A list of vendors and the floor plan of the show, which originally began as a home show at Millcreek Mall, can be viewed at eriepromotions.com/erie-home-and-garden/vendors.
The show was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic and returned to a limited number of visitors and vendors last year due to COVID-19 restrictions. The expo usually attracted around 8,500 people before the pandemic.
“We’re excited to finally get back to normal, and our providers look forward to this year without restrictions or administrative regulations,” Concilla said. “Our goal is between 5,000 and 6,000 people for the weekend. Other events we’ve hosted in Erie and western New York have seen attendance close to our 2019 numbers. People definitely have spring fever and want to leave the house.”
